This Douglas, MA project was a complete transformation of the home’s outdoor living space. The original deck was fully removed and replaced with a large, pressure-treated double deck built on newly poured footings for long-term strength and stability. The expansive layout provides plenty of room for outdoor dining, entertaining, and relaxation.

As part of the renovation, we installed a new sliding glass door leading from the house onto the deck, improving access and natural light. At the lower level, a new 32" x 68" basement entry door was added, and a ground-level window was framed in to complete the structural updates.

During construction, we also addressed rot damage beneath the original sliding door, repairing and reinforcing the framing to ensure the new deck and entry points were built on a sound foundation.

The finished project blends functionality with durability — a spacious, two-level pressure-treated deck that enhances outdoor living while protecting the home’s structure for years to come. The before-and-after photos highlight just how much of an impact this major upgrade made.
