Hopedale, MA - Exterior Renovation with Everlast Composite Siding and New Trex Deck
Exterior Renovation with Everlast Composite Siding and New Trex Deck
This exterior remodeling project began with the full removal of worn and rotted wood siding and trim, allowing the home to be properly rebuilt and protected from the outside in. Once the damaged materials were removed, the exterior was wrapped with RainDrop housewrap, and all windows and doors were sealed with weather-protective tape to help improve moisture protection and long-term performance.
The home was then updated with Everlast composite siding in Slate, along with new CertainTeed inside and outside corners for a clean, finished appearance. Window and door casings were replaced with PVC brickmold, providing a more durable, low-maintenance exterior trim detail that complements the new siding.
A major part of this project was choosing a siding material designed for durability and lasting curb appeal. Everlast Advanced Composite Siding is built to resist moisture and is not vulnerable to wood-boring insects, making it a strong alternative to traditional wood-based exterior materials. It is engineered to resist swelling, bowing, rotting, and other common issues that can affect long-term performance.
Everlast siding also offers the look of real wood without the same maintenance demands. Its durable acrylic surface is designed for color retention and scratch resistance, and each plank is embossed with a realistic cedar-grain texture for a more natural appearance.
To complete the project, a new 20' x 30' deck was added using Trex composite decking and railings, creating a spacious, low-maintenance outdoor living area that pairs well with the updated exterior.
