Kitchen, Basement & Basement Remodel – Holden, MA

This Holden, MA renovation by CORE Remodeling Services, Inc. blends moderhigh-end finishes with thoughtful design to transform the kitchen and basement into functional, welcoming spaces for modern living. Our team worked closely with the homeowners to develop the design, guide product selections, and bring their vision to life.

The kitchen remodel began with full demolition, including the removal of a load-bearing wall to open the space to the dining area. CORE installed Waypoint 580F solid wood cabinets in Cherry Clove, paired with Dominique Square Bar Pulls in Satin Bronze for a rich, traditional look. A new 8' x 4' island was built to include Calacatta Raft quartz countertops with seating and integrated pop-up outlets, creating a stunning and functional centerpiece.

The countertops were paired with a Delta Lenta pull-down faucet and a Blanco SILGRANIT undermount sink, offering durability and modern style. Additional upgrades included a Delta garbage disposal air switch, Badger 5XL disposal, and under-cabinet lighting for added convenience.

Lighting throughout the kitchen and dining room includes Castell 6-Globe Linear and Round LED Pendants and a 10” Aria Opal Globe Pendant in satin brass, all set on dimmer switches for mood control. The color palette features Behr’s Blank Canvas on the walls and BM Nimbus in the hallway, complementing the MSI Akadia LVT flooring installed throughout the space for long-lasting beauty.

The stairwell was refinished with stained treads and railings to match the floors, primed balusters, and painted risers. Additional work included installation of new windows, trim carpentry, and complete electrical and plumbing updates to support all fixtures and appliances.

In the basement, CORE designed and built a fully finished space featuring a bar-height seating area with Fantasy Brown quartz top, a full bathroom with a custom steam shower, and a spacious family room. The Mr. Steam xButler 9kW generator package with iSteamX control panel offers a true spa-like experience, paired with MSI Eden Dolomite matte hex tile and Marble Willow Sage honed walls.

Fixtures included Miseno Mia brushed nickel shower systems, a Millennium Durham 3-Light vanity light, and a custom glass shower door. The bathroom also features a White Lace quartz bench, niche, and stone detail on the ceiling and curb.

The basement floor and stairs were finished in MSI Akadia LVT, while walls were insulated to code, trimmed to match the existing home, and painted in OC-20 Pale Oak and OC-139 Sea Wind. CORE installed new hopper windows, electrical subpanel, recessed lighting, heating, ventilation, and all plumbing and fixtures per final design plans.
