2023 4 Season Room Stow MA

Built a 4-season room according to plans, including four Velux skylights and a roof finished with asphalt-style shingles. The exterior walls were sided to match the existing home for a seamless appearance. Inside, we installed MSI Aura Gold Waterproof luxury vinyl plank flooring, along with eight ProVia Endure Legacy gliding windows with full screens and a ProVia full-view insulated glass door leading to the deck. The space also includes a 72-inch interior French door with Schlage satin nickel hardware and a Hydra 70-inch brushed nickel 8-blade ceiling fan with light, downrod, and remote.

Bonus Room
The bonus room was upgraded with Waypoint base cabinetry, custom built-in bookshelves, and a custom cherry block window seat with integrated storage, finished with Hardware Resources Marie cabinet pulls. We installed new Shaw Mainstay carpet in Winter’s Dawn in both the bonus room and hallway and repainted the entire space. Mitsubishi mini-split systems were added to provide efficient, zoned climate control.

Laundry Room
The laundry room features JSI Dove White cabinetry paired with Silestone Blue Savoie 2cm countertops with a pencil edge. We installed a Kohler Vault 24-inch undermount stainless steel sink with SilentShield technology, paired with a Kohler Simplice pull-down faucet. Flooring was completed with Porto Light Sand Arcia hexagon porcelain tile set with Silver Shadow grout.

Primary Bathroom
The primary bathroom includes JSI Amesbury White cabinetry, Sahara Beige 3cm polished quartz countertops, Kohler Caxton sinks, and satin nickel Maria cabinet hardware. A custom tiled shower was built using Inner Shore 12x24 rectified porcelain on the walls and bathroom floor, with Inner Shore 2x2 mosaic tile on the shower floor. Matching Sahara Beige quartz was used for the shower threshold, half-wall caps, and vanity details. The shower is finished with a custom glass enclosure and a 60-inch Signature Hardware Cohen linear drain. Fixtures, trim, and accessories are from the Kohler Devonshire collection in brushed nickel. The space also includes a 60-inch Odenwald acrylic soaking tub by Signature Hardware, an American Standard VorMax Plus comfort-height toilet, and Kohler Devonshire triple wall sconces paired with decorative mirrors.

Family Bathroom
The family bathroom features JSI Amesbury White cabinetry, Sahara Beige 3cm polished quartz countertops, Kohler Caxton sinks, and satin nickel Maria cabinet hardware. The custom tiled shower includes Place Almond 12x24 matte rectified porcelain walls with matching 2x2 mosaic tile on the shower floor, finished with a custom glass shower door. The space is completed with Kohler Devonshire fixtures and accessories in brushed nickel, an American Standard VorMax Plus comfort-height toilet, a Kohler Devonshire triple wall sconce, and a Kohler Essential Decorative vanity mirror.

Unfortunately the house needed far more work than we'd imagined, so we researched remodeling services companies and settled on Core. We are extremely happy that we did. Corey and his team were professional from start to finish. They modernized both our upstairs bathrooms, added a beautiful bonus room upstairs, and created an efficient and aesthetic laundry room. At the same time, they built us a brand new four season room, replacing our deck outside.

During the design stage, Heather and the team actively listened to our requirements and to our nice-to-haves, and came up with features that we wouldn't have thought of ourselves. For example, they added a closet as part of our master bath remodel since we talked about needing more storage space. They knew that the laundry room was important to us, and factored that into the design. As a bonus, the washer and dryer were the first appliances to become fully functional after demo!

Mike, who was the lead carpenter for our job, is an artist. He created beautiful built-ins and custom window seats for our bonus room, and was always listening and adapting to our needs as he worked. He made great suggestions as we finalized decisions during the project.

Dane, our project manager, was attentive and accommodating. He visited the site often, and he was very good about keeping us up to date about progress. He worked actively on the "piece de resistance" - our four season room! The four season room replaced an aging and decrepit deck, and it features large windows, sky lights, and an impressive ceiling fan. We spend a great deal of our time out there now, and it has become our party room - a great addition to the house.
