This Westborough, MA exterior remodeling project transformed the home with James Hardie clapboard siding in Deep Ocean, low-maintenance PVC trim, a four-season sunroom conversion, new ProVia entry doors, replacement garage doors, new gutters, hard-wired Ring doorbells, and custom finishing details designed to improve both appearance and durability.

The main house — approximately 3,213 sq. ft. — was updated with James Hardie clapboard siding installed over properly prepared wall surfaces and wrapped with James Hardie-approved house wrap and seam tape. As part of the siding replacement, the exterior was inspected for hidden rot or damaged sheathing, with repairs completed as needed before installation. All penetrations were finished with PVC blocks, and key joints and transitions were properly flashed and sealed to help protect the home and maintain manufacturer warranty requirements.

To refine the exterior, the original trim was replaced with low-maintenance PVC picture-frame trim around the windows and doors. Front windows received upgraded header trim for stronger architectural definition, while the home’s corners, water table, rakes, and fascias were finished with durable PVC and aluminum-wrapped components. These upgrades created sharper lines, improved weather protection, and reduced long-term maintenance.

A key part of the project was the four-season sunroom conversion, which was integrated into the overall renovation with complementary board and batten siding. The underside was finished with white vinyl lattice and PVC trim to create a more complete appearance. Additional carpentry improvements were also made at the left-side entrance, where existing trim details were removed and replaced to prepare the area for new siding and trim.

The project also included several entry and exterior feature upgrades. The front entry was updated with a ProVia Signet fiberglass entry door and sidelites, while the breezeway door was replaced with a matching ProVia Signet fiberglass door for consistency across the exterior. A new garage window and granite front step added function and curb appeal, and two hard-wired Ring Video Doorbells were installed at the front entry and breezeway for convenience and security.

To complete the renovation, the home received new 5-inch white aluminum gutters and downspouts with stainless steel micro-mesh leaf guards, along with three new Haas garage doors in English Oak Plank with updated hardware, openers, Wi-Fi capability, and integrated camera features.
