Front Porch Addition - Upton MA
CORE Remodeling Services built a roofed front porch with tapered columns, Trex composite decking, and stylish railings, creating a welcoming and low-maintenance entryway.
Front Porch Addition – Upton, MA
The homeowner’s original pre-cast concrete landing was small, plain, and offered no cover from the elements. Not only did it lack curb appeal, but it also didn’t provide the welcoming entry the family wanted for their home.
To solve this, CORE Remodeling Services removed the old landing and designed a roofed front porch that ties a shed-style roof into the home’s existing A-frame design for a seamless architectural look.
We built the porch with 8" load-bearing tapered round columns, giving the entry a stately presence, and added a wide staircase that makes the home more inviting and accessible. For durability and low maintenance, the porch features Trex composite decking, PVC trim, and a PVC privacy lattice skirt.
To complete the look, we installed RDI Titan Pro railings, a vinyl beaded ceiling, and both recessed and pendant lighting, ensuring the porch looks just as beautiful at night as it does during the day.
Why did the homeowner want this remodel?
The family needed more than just a landing — they wanted an entry that offered protection from the weather, a stylish focal point for their home, and a safe, welcoming staircase for guests.
How does the new porch improve the home?
By replacing the plain concrete landing with a covered porch addition, the homeowners gained a practical outdoor space that enhances everyday living while dramatically boosting curb appeal and property value.
